Growing up, Kala may have thought she wanted to be a nurse, but from the moment she took her first cooking class in high school, it was clear she was destined to be a chef. Though she's known for her tiramisu recipe, Kala isn't afraid to venture into the savory arena with equally impressive taco and risotto dishes and often describes Notre Dame as "a great environment with friendly people that provides creative freedom to make and design new menu items."
