Gonzalo Serrano

Sous Chef, South Dining Hall

They say you are what you eat, and that rings true for Gonzalo Serrano, who happens to be quite fond of the chile that bears his name. It's a key ingredient in one of his bold salsas, a dish he mastered while growing up in Zacatecas, Mexico. For more than 12 years, Gonzalo has inspired his Notre Dame colleagues with traditional Mexican recipes, all the while learning plenty in return.
